When a fee can be returned, when it cannot, and exactly how to ask. Written plainly, because money should never need interpreting.

The rule in one line
Once your classes have started, a refund is not initiated.
From the first class of your batch, your seat is blocked, the batch is closed to new admissions, and a trainer and a computer are committed to you. Please decide before that day - and if anything is unclear, ask us before you pay.

01What this policy covers
This policy explains when a fee paid to IICT Computer Institute can be returned, when it cannot, what we deduct, and how to ask. It applies to every course and every campus.
It is read together with our Terms & Conditions. The Terms are the frame; this page is the detail.
02The main rule: no refund once classes have started
Once the classes of your batch have started, a refund is not initiated. That is the rule the rest of this page is built around, and we would far rather you read it before paying than discover it afterwards.
Classes have started means the scheduled date of the first class of your batch, whether or not you attended that class. Attendance does not change the date, because the seat was held for you either way.
Your seat was blocked, and the batch was closed to further admissions.
A trainer, a computer and a lab slot were committed to you for the whole course.
Study material issued to you cannot be taken back and given to somebody else.
If a genuine emergency stops you from continuing, please come and talk to us anyway. We cannot return the fee, but section 7 sets out what we can usually do instead.
03If you cancel before your classes start
Between admission and your first class, a cancellation is possible.
If you cancel before the first class of your batch, the course fee you have paid is returned after deducting the admission fee.
Tell us as early as you can. The earlier we know, the better the chance that your seat goes to someone waiting for it.
The request must be in writing, at the campus where you took admission. A call or a message starts the conversation, but the written request is what we act on.
Bring your original receipt. For a student under eighteen, the parent or guardian who signed the admission form makes the request.
What may be deducted is in section 11, and how the money reaches you is in section 10.
04If we cancel or cannot start your batch
The rule cuts both ways, and it should.
If we cancel a batch before it begins, you may move to another batch, timing or campus, or take back the full fee you paid for that course.
If a batch stops after it has begun and we cannot offer you a reasonable alternative, we return the fee for the part of the course we did not teach.
If we are simply late in starting a batch, we will tell you the new date. You may wait, move to another batch, or cancel under section 3.
Holidays, examination weeks, and a genuine one-off staff absence are not a cancellation. Those classes are rescheduled, not lost.
05Examination and registration fees
Some courses are examined by an outside body which charges its own examination or registration fee. Once we have sent that fee on your behalf, it is no longer with us.
A fee already remitted to an examination body cannot be returned by us, and any claim on it follows that body rules.
A fee collected but not yet sent is refundable.
Ask us, and we will show you when your fee was sent and to whom.
06What is not refundable
The admission fee - it pays for registering you, opening your record and issuing your enrollment number.
Course fees once classes have started - as set out in section 2.
Examination fees already remitted - as set out in section 5.
Books and study material once issued - they leave our hands and cannot be reissued to anybody else.
Printing charges - for a duplicate certificate or a duplicate receipt.
A discount or concession - a concession reduces what you pay. It is not an amount we are holding for you. See section 12.
07What we can usually do instead
Our first preference is to keep you learning, not to keep your money and lose you.
Change your batch or timing - the most common solution, and usually possible when a seat is free.
Change your campus - for the same course, subject to seats.
Pause and rejoin - if life gets in the way, we can hold your admission and place you in a later batch of the same course, normally within six months.
Move to another course - the balance of your fee can sometimes be adjusted against a different course at the same campus.
These are decided by the campus manager case by case, and they are not a right under this policy. Ask early - all four are far easier to arrange in the first weeks than in the last.
08If we end your admission
Where an admission is ended for false information on the form, for dues left unpaid after we have spoken to you, or for misconduct, no refund is initiated if classes have already started.
If it happens before classes start, it is treated as a cancellation under section 3.
We will give you the reason in writing, and you may reply to it.
09How to ask for a refund
There is no online form for this, on purpose. A refund is a money matter, and it is settled at the counter where you paid.
Step one - write a short application at the campus where you took admission, giving your name, enrollment number, course, and the reason.
Step two - attach the original fee receipt and a copy of the identity document used at admission. For a student under eighteen, the parent or guardian signs.
Step three - we acknowledge the application the same day, and tell you our decision within seven working days.
Step four - where a refund is approved, it is paid within fifteen working days of that approval.
Keep a copy of your application and of our acknowledgement. They are your record as much as ours.
10How the money is returned
A refund goes to the person who paid the fee, and to nobody else.
It is normally returned to the bank account or payment channel the fee came from. Where that is not possible, we pay by bank transfer against written bank details.
We do not hand a refund in cash to a third person, even after a phone call to confirm. That protects you more than it protects us.
Anything you owe is settled first, and the balance is returned.
11Deductions we may make
We deduct only what has actually been spent or is actually owed, and we show you the figures.
The admission fee.
Examination or registration fees already sent to an outside body.
Books or study material already issued to you.
Bank or payment gateway charges actually incurred on your payment or on the refund.
Any outstanding instalment, fine or dues on your record.
The calculation is shown to you before the refund is paid. Ask, and we will give it to you in writing.
12Offers, discounts and concessions
Where your fee was reduced under an offer or a concession, any refund is worked out on the amount you actually paid.
A discount is never returned as cash, and it does not carry over to another course or to another student.
Where an offer was conditional, for example on paying the full fee in advance, cancelling may withdraw that offer for the part of the course already taught.
13Transfers
Your fee stays with your admission. It cannot be transferred to another person, including a family member.
It can usually be moved between our own batches, timings and campuses for the same course, subject to seats.
A transfer is not a refund, and it does not reset the rule in section 2.
14If you disagree with our decision
Ask the campus manager first, then write to the head office. Tell us what you believe we have got wrong, and what you would consider fair.
We will reply within thirty days. If we were wrong, we will say so and put it right.
Nothing in this policy takes away a right you have under Indian consumer law. This page sets out how we work; it is not a bar on approaching a consumer forum.
15Changes to this policy
We update this page when our practice changes. The date at the top is the version you are reading.
The version in force on the day you paid is the version that applies to that payment. A later change does not reach back to a fee already paid.
16Governing law
This policy is governed by the laws of India. Any dispute arising out of it is subject to the jurisdiction of the courts at Muzaffarnagar, Uttar Pradesh.
Refunds
Ask before you pay. That is the whole point of this page.
If anything here is unclear, or you are unsure whether a course suits you, come and talk to us first. Ten minutes before admission is worth more than an application afterwards.
This policy is read together with our Terms & Conditions and our Privacy Policy.
